A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Section Engineer with strong highway and earthworks experience to join a major infrastructure project in Gloucester. This role offers the opportunity to work on a high-profile project with responsibility for managing subcontractors and coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations across major highway and earthworks sections.
• Manage subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards.
• Collaborate with multiple engineers and project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Use 3D modelling software to review and plan works, supporting design and construction processes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare reports and updates for senior management.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Proven experience on major highway and earthworks projects.
• Strong 3D modelling experience (Civil 3D, Autodesk, or equivalent).
• Tier 1 contractor experience.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Desirable

• Experience with BIM processes on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of local highways and environmental compliance.
