A UK university is seeking a Secretariat Administrator to support the complaints and student casework departments. This role includes handling HR and finance processes, managing inquiries, and updating websites. Applicants should have administrative experience in customer service and familiarity with HR and finance. A commitment to customer satisfaction and experience in higher education are desirable. We are seeking to appoint a Secretariat Administrator to support the work of two departments within the University Secretariat, Complaints and Student Casework, and Corporate Compliance.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting both teams with finance and HR processes, general enquiries and keeping websites up to date. In addition, there will be department specific activities, as detailed in the job description. Your time will be equally divided between the two departments, who are co-located.
Proficient in the use of office technology you will need administrative experience in a customer‑oriented environment and experience of Finance and HR related processes. Whilst experience of working in Higher Education is desirable, we are seeking someone with a commitment to delivering customer service and who has the ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with tact and sensitivity. The role requires flexibility, personal confidence, resilience and the ability to work to multiple deadlines, within a supportive environment.
