Modis is seeking a SecOps Engineer to safeguard a modern technology environment, working across security operations, engineering and incident response.

You’ll monitor threats, respond to incidents, improve detection capabilities and drive security best practices across the business.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of cyber security operations and incident management.
• Experience with security monitoring and detection technologies.
• Understanding of endpoint, identity and cloud security.
• Experience working within Microsoft 365 environments.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and security best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, triage and respond to security alerts and incidents.
• Coordinate incident response activities to minimise business impact.
• Perform root-cause analysis and recommend preventative measures.
• Lead or support security investigations and post-incident reviews.
• Act as a key liaison for managed SOC and security partners.
• Work closely with infrastructure, cloud and application teams.
• Provide technical security guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Help embed a security-first culture across the organisation.
