Travel & Tourism Teacher

We are currently seeking a dynamic Travel & Tourism Teacher to join a school in Lancaster immediately on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role
  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons in Travel & Tourism to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 is advantageous.
  • Utilise strong subject knowledge to enhance student learning and achievement.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate lessons.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
  • Recent and relevant experience teaching Travel & Tourism at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 experience is beneficial.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with robust classroom management skills.
  • Reliable, committed, and capable of acting as a good role model for students.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to be patient, punctual, and trustworthy.
  • Must be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
