Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a welcoming secondary school in the Pontypridd area. This role offers full-time hours Monday to Friday with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have previous experience working with children.
• Experience supporting pupils across secondary age range is desirable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions as required.
• Support pupils who may need extra assistance with their learning.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and communicate updates to teaching staff.
