Secondary Supply Teacher
Purfleet-on-Thames
£140 - £160 per day

We are seeking reliable and adaptable Secondary Supply Teachers to work with our partner secondary schools in and around Purfleet-on-Thames (RM19).

This opportunity is ideal for qualified teachers seeking flexibility, a better work-life balance, or variety across local secondary settings without the added pressures of full-time planning and marking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Delivery: Effectively deliver pre-set work across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), maintaining high academic engagement.
  • Classroom Management: Establish positive learning environments and enforce school behaviour policies consistently.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Mark work completed during lessons and leave clear handover notes for regular teaching staff.
  • Inclusive Support: Adapt classroom delivery to support students with Additional Educational Needs (AEN / SEN).
  • Safeguarding: Follow school policies to maintain child protection, safety, and welfare at all times.
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or ECT status (Essential).
  • Experience teaching the UK Secondary Curriculum (KS3 & KS4).
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to process one).
  • Full Right to Work in the UK (Note: Sponsorship is not available for this post).
  • Strong communication, adaptability, and classroom management skills.
  • Two recent, professional education-based references.
