Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking versatile, empathetic and caring individuals to support secondary students with barriers to learning in Greenwich. You will work 1:1 or with groups, helping pupils access work and navigate challenging days in school.

Role offers competitive daily rates (£100-£117) and includes free safeguarding training; position is subject to an enhanced DBS check. You will gain valuable experience across different schools and age groups.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
• Understanding safeguarding in schools and child welfare.
• Able to use initiative and solve everyday classroom challenges.
• Demonstrates care and prioritises children's needs.

Responsibilities

• Support students 1:1 or in small groups across lessons.
• Help pupils access work set by class teachers and stay on task.
• Promote inclusive learning and assist with behavioural expectations.

Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant - Greenwich

Versatile, Empathetic and Caring Individuals Needed to Support a Range of Student's with Barriers to Learning.

This is a great opportunity to become a positive support mechanism and role model in the lives of secondary School students based in Greenwich, SE18 area. You will work as either 1:1 or with groups in helping young people with a range of barriers to learning, to access work set by class teachers and to navigate what can be very challenging days at school. Each day will bring a new challenge and also a new opportunity to help the child overcome daily difficulties and flourish at school. Doing this through academics means that, instead of committing to a restricting role in a specific school, you can try different schools, different age groups, and the different ways in which you can be a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant, in order to find your place and your career.
