ICT Teacher – SEMH Secondary School (Stockport)

Are you an experienced IT Teacher with QTS looking to make a real impact? We are seeking a passionate educator to join a Specialist SEMH Secondary School in Stockport, supporting pupils with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, including anxiety, ADHD, trauma‑related behaviours, and emotional dysregulation. This is a rewarding opportunity to help students re‑engage with learning and develop essential digital skills for their future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated ICT lessons tailored to individual SEMH needs.
  • Create a safe, supportive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Work closely with pastoral teams and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans.
  • Use creative strategies to re‑engage pupils who have experienced barriers to education.
  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to students and staff.
  • Contribute to whole‑school strategies for improving attendance, engagement, and wellbeing.
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • Experience teaching IT at secondary level.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH needs and strategies for supporting challenging behaviour.
  • Resilient, patient, and calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
