Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons adapted to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH.
  • Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Use trauma-informed and positive behaviour strategies to support student engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families to promote academic and emotional progress.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level
  • Experience working with SEMH pupils or in specialist settings
