Reading Area | £21,566 per annum (NJC Point 4)37 hours per week | Monday to FridayTerm time + 5 INSET days | Start Date: ASAP

A successful and oversubscribed secondary school in the Reading area is seeking to appoint an experienced and proactive Science Technician to join their dedicated team.

About the Role

The Science Technician will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality science education by coordinating the use of practical resources and facilities. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and is committed to supporting both staff and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical science lessons
  • Maintain and organise laboratory resources and stock
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Support teaching staff in delivering engaging and safe practical sessions
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the science department
