Job summary

Caterlink, the education sector catering specialist, is seeking an experienced Chef/Cook at Trinity Catholic College in Middlesbrough. You will prepare and cook nutritionally balanced meals, supervise kitchen teams, brief on menus, and maintain food safety standards to uphold the company’s reputation for great service.

The role is Mon-Fri, term-time only, at £13.50 per hour, with NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and relevant catering qualifications required. DBS disclosure will be obtained.

• The successful applicant will have recognised Catering qualifications, a minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager with planning, preparing and cooking meals to the required standard.
• Ensure high food safety standards and quality in service to students.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Chef / Cook based at Trinity Catholic Collegein Middlesbrough who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. We are looking for an organised, hard-working and passionate individual to ensure that the food quality, presentation and service are provided to the required standard. You should be passionate about delivering an efficient service to our students whilst ensuring we maintain great customer service and high food safety standards.

The successful applicant will have recognised Catering qualifications, a minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent is required. You will assist the Manager with all planning, preparing and cooking of meals to the required standard and you will ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers. Other tasks will include briefing kitchen teams on menus and service, ensuring all food safety and health and safety procedures are applied continuously and carry out company bookwork.
