We are currently seeking a dynamic English Teacher to join a school in the Wyre & Fylde area starting in January. This long-term, part-time role is ideal for someone with a strong knowledge of the curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role
  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons in English to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; teaching KS5 would be an advantage.
  • Utilise strong subject knowledge to inspire and motivate students.
  • Maintain effective classroom management.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate lessons.
  • Participate in and organise extracurricular activities, such as clubs and social events.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4; experience at KS5 is advantageous.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with robust classroom management skills.
  • Reliable, committed, and capable of acting as a good role model for students.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Must be punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
