We are seeking a dedicated RS Teacher to join our vibrant school in Leatherhead. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Religious Studies curriculum to students across KS3 to KS5. Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Religious Studies lessons to students from KS3 to KS5.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and tailored support to ensure academic development.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages open discussion and exploration of different religious and ethical viewpoints.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-curricular themes and to enhance the overall learning experience.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school training sessions, and contribute to the development of the curriculum.
- Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and to support student learning outside of the classroom.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching Religious Studies in UK secondary schools.
- Strong understanding of the RS curriculum across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Ability to plan effectively and manage time efficiently.
