Job summary

Overview

Prospero Teaching is recruiting experienced QTS Tutors to deliver 1:1 tuition in Wigan. This role is ideally suited to teachers with experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Location: Within the community or pupils' homes in Wigan

Duration: Ongoing support
Hours: Part‑time, typically 8am – 4pm
Pay: Minimum £25 per hour

Requirements

Further Information

The successful tutor will be patient, empathetic, and able to design and deliver tailored learning plans on a 1:1 basis. A therapeutic approach may be required to re‑engage pupils with their learning. The aim is to provide structure, routine, and educational development, ultimately supporting the pupils' reintegration into an educational setting.

Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor pupil progress, requiring weekly reports to track development.

Tuition generally takes place during school hours. Sessions typically range between 14 hours daily or weekly.
