Job summary

eXPD8 Ltd. is hiring a Retail Merchandiser to operate within the Entertainer concession at Tesco, UB7 7SX, Yiewsley. You will ensure fixtures are correct, products are attractively displayed, and shelves are replenished to maintain brand standards.

The role is based in-store with set Thursday, Friday and Saturday hours. It's a fixed-term contract ending 1 January 2027, with potential for permanent employment. Some visits may involve home-delivery of point-of-sale materials.

Qualifications

• Experience in merchandising, retail or customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently within set timeframes.
• Pride in delivering high standards and service for clients.
• Willingness to do manual handling and stock movement.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.

Job description

We're looking for a Retail Merchandiser based in Tesco Yiewsley in the UB7 7SX area. You'll be an integral part of a field-based retail merchandising team, working primarily within The Entertainer concession within Tesco. There may be opportunities to work across other categories including, but not limited to, Books and Entertainment, Health and Beauty,

You will be responsible for ensuring the fixtures are set up effectively, products and promotions are displayed attractively, and the shelves are well-stocked.

About the role:

This role will primarily be based within UB7 7SX.

Confirmed working hours:

• Thursday 08:00-12:00
• Friday 09:00-12:00
• Saturday 08:00-12:00

This is a fixed term contract that ends 1 January 2027, however there would be opportunity for the right candidate to move to permanent work.

Plus ad hoc work as interested and agreed!

• Expert at the Entertainer
• You'll know the Entertainer brand and products inside and out, and more importantly, share that knowledge with your team!
• Compliance and Standards
• You'll know and stick to the merchandising standards and guidelines, store policies and procedures and health and safety guidance.
• You'll follow and implement planograms, where provided, to ensure consistency and compliance with merchandising standards.
• Product Placement and Replenishment
• You'll arrange and organise products on shelves and displays to maximise visibility and appeal.
• Promotional and Point of Sale Setup
• You'll set up promotional displays and signage to effectively communicate prices, discounts, and special offers.
• Strong communication and relationship building
• You'll build and maintain good working relationships with instore colleagues, particularly department and store managers.
• You'll provide accurate and timely feedback to our client account teams, via our feedback application, as the eyes and ears in the stores!

• Be comfortable with a bit of manual handling! You'll need to move and arrange our products from the warehouse to the shopfloor.
• Are willing to accept home deliveries of point of sale or stock items for some visits (you'll be paid extra to do so)
• Are confident using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos and answer questions about your tasks
• A full UK driving license and access to a car is required
