Job summary

Shop Manager in Kensington for the 2026 Christmas season. This temporary position runs October to December, offering £13.92 per hour and the chance to lead a busy charity shop during peak trading.

You will manage day-to-day operations, supervise volunteers, deliver excellent customer service and help maximise sales and income for good causes. Strong retail experience, organisational skills and the ability to work independently are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of the shop.
• Lead, motivate and support a team of volunteers.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming shop environment.
• Help achieve sales targets and maximise income.
• Support shop set-up, deliveries, merchandising and stock management.
• Operate EPOS and oversee cash handling, reconciliation and banking.
• Build positive relationships with volunteers, the venue and Regional Manager.
• Promote the shop within the local community to increase awareness and footfall.
• Support local events, promotional activity and marketing opportunities.
• Ensure the shop remains well-stocked, attractive and commercially focused.
