Job summary

Argos is seeking a Merchandiser for a fixed-term 6-month role within the Leisure team. You’ll shape ranges, drive stock availability, and influence the commercial direction by collaborating with buyers, suppliers and cross-functional partners.

A merchandising background and data-driven approach are essential. You’ll split time between home and Coventry, with office days for collaboration and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Previous merchandising experience
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data
• Experience delivering results to target as an individual and as part of a team
• Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-moving retail environment
• Ability to influence and build strong relationships with key stakeholders
• Highly organised with strong planning and problem-solving capabilities
• Customer-focused with a positive, collaborative approach
• Strong Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver a customer-led merchandising strategy for your category and build balanced ranges
• Use data, trends and customer insight to inform decisions and manage budgets
• Work with Buying, Supply Chain, Retail and suppliers to keep stock flowing and improve availability
• Review performance, identify risks and opportunities, and shape trade conversations and cycles
