Job summary

Merlin Entertainments in Birmingham is seeking an Elf Costume Character to spread Christmas cheer at SEA LIFE Birmingham. You’ll be in a festive grotto, perform in character as an Elf, and assist with activities alongside Father Christmas.

The role requires guest-facing interaction, in-character performance for each shift, and strong guest engagement. Availability mid-November to 24 December with part-time shifts, including weekends and holidays, is needed.

Qualifications

• The love of everything Christmas.
• A huge sense of fun.
• Plenty of stamina.
• The confidence to organise groups of excitable guests.
• Training and full costume will be provided in our stand-alone Grotto.

Responsibilities

• Entertain guests in character as an Elf.
• Assist with activities and support Father Christmas.
• Engage with guests while promoting safety and ticket checks.
• Support operations teams during the event, including crowd management.
