Job summary

Sofina Foods Europe is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the site Technical team and uphold food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. You will drive audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement while collaborating with Production and Engineering to resolve quality issues.

The role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in seafood or chilled foods, capable of shaping a robust technical culture and meeting customer expectations across the business.

Qualifications

• Experienced Technical Manager or similar food manufacturing role.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, quality and technical standards.
• Experience working with BRCGS and customer standards.
• Confident leading audits, investigations and corrective actions.
• Experience developing and supporting a Technical team.
• Good communication skills and ability to influence across functions.
• Proactive approach to risk, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Experience in seafood or a chilled food environment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site Technical team and technical culture.
• Maintain robust food safety, quality and compliance standards.
• Ensure customer, BRCGS and regulatory requirements are met.
• Lead site audits and manage corrective and preventative actions.
• Monitor technical performance, trends and risks, take action as needed.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering and other teams to resolve quality issues.
• Support new products, processes and customer requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement across technical and food safety performance.
