About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer in Test – Java & Azure to join our London-based team. In this role, you will play a key part in building scalable automation solutions that ensure the quality of cloud-native applications, APIs, and data platforms. You'll work with Java, Azure, Databricks, and modern testing methodologies to develop robust automation frameworks while supporting continuous integration and delivery practices. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for functional and end-to-end testing.
• Design and execute automated test scenarios for REST APIs, ensuring reliability, performance, and accuracy.
• Validate complex data pipelines running on Databricks to ensure data integrity and business rule compliance.
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) principles throughout software development.
• Work closely with developers, QA engineers, architects, and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Support automated testing strategies for applications deployed on Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize automation scripts to improve efficiency, stability, and maintainability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing standards, tools, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Java development with a focus on automated software testing.
• Hands-on expertise in TDD/BDD methodologies using frameworks such as JUnit and Cucumber.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs, including creating comprehensive automated validation scenarios.
• Solid understanding of Front-to-Back (F2B) or end-to-end testing approaches in enterprise applications.
• Experience working with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into deployment workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with strong attention to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services and Databricks environments.
• Knowledge of testing and validating large-scale data processing pipelines.
