Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced engineering leader to manage a team within the SDE Collaboration Team in the UK. The role focuses on delivering improvements for the UK Submarine Delivery Enterprise and building strong relationships with customers, partners and internal stakeholders.

You will set priorities, steer technical outputs before customer release, and work with the Programme Director and Senior Managers on strategy, planning and resourcing.

Qualifications

• Engineering background with large complex assets.
• Experience in submarines, military vehicles, oil platforms, rail, aerospace, or other suitable sectors.
• Continuous improvement implementation and delivery experience.
• Excellent analytical and engineering investigation skills, including failure modes and root cause analysis.
• Ability to evaluate complex engineering and programme issues and consider contributory factors across varied sources.
• Leadership and management experience with high-performing teams.
• Proven leadership of high-performing teams delivering projects.
• Ability to coach teams to apply robust engineering challenge and translate complex information into clear briefs.
• Stakeholder engagement and management at all levels, including executives, customers, partners, suppliers, and internal parties.
• Technical qualification to degree level, or equivalent experience.
