Job summary

Eaglecliff Recruitment is partnering with a global Energy company to hire a Scrum Master. You will lead a cross-functional data team migrating legacy data to the Enterprise Data Platform (PDX) on Databricks in Azure and foster Lean-Agile ways of working.

You will coach the team, facilitate Agile ceremonies, enable discovery through collaboration with product owners and stakeholders, and maintain a focus on delivery speed and quality across a dispersed international team.

About The Role:

• This role will be responsible for organising and enabling a team of Data Engineers, QA specialists and Business Analysts to migrate data and curated data products from the existing legacy-hosted platform into the Enterprise Data Platform called Products Data Exchange (PDX) hosted on Databricks in Azure.
• Embody an agnostic agile mindset, experimental approach, apply the right mix of support and challenge that empower teams to continuously improve.
• Mentor teams as they transition to an Agile approach and new ways of working.
• Coach cross-functional teams on optimising Agile ways of working, identifying waste, improving feedback loops.
• Contribute to our Agile Community of Practice (CoP) re: Lean-Agile principles and practices.
• A coach embedded with a cross functional team of product owners, project management, UX design, engineering managers and other internal stakeholders to facilitate outcomes of discovery and definition phases.
• Facilitate key Team of Teams events, retrospectives and workshops, e.g. Story mapping, value stream mapping, Scrum of Scrums, Product Alignment. Ensure synchronisation between Team of Teams and Team-level agile cadence.
• Maintain a focus on Lean/Kanban metrics, leading and lagging indicators.
• Ensure psychological safety and an engaging space for team collaboration, learning and agility maturity assessments to bring about continuous and measurable improvements.
• Work closely with the platform vertical lead to ensure alignment between strategy and execution.
• Previous industry experience within trading in financial services and/or energy trading
• Knowledge of ETRMs (Energy Trading Risk Management) systems is required
• Prior experience in Data Warehousing and Data Migration required
• Technology experience to include Databricks, Unity Catalog and Delta Sharing
• Ability to understand and properly utilize market standard tools used in the Agile space.

You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and an quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
