Overview

Role Title: Scrum Master

Duration: contract to run until 30/06/2026

Location: London

Rate: up to £700 p/d Umbrella inside IR35

Clearance required: Sole UK National with ideally Active SC or must be SC Eligible

Role purpose / summary

MBTP Program Background: The Migration Borders Technology Portfolio is building functionality to transform the way the Client manages immigration into the United Kingdom. The finished system will be used by the client staff based in the UK and in consulates across the globe, and by all applicants for Visa or Immigration services.

The delivery framework envisages multiple application developers collaborating to deliver software components and being integrated by the Client. Multiple providers of commodity cloud services will provide hosting. The application developments will be delivered using an agile methodology in line with Government IT policy.

Must have:

• Method- Experienced and Certified Agile ScrumMaster (CSM, CSP-SM) (Scrum, XP, Kanban) as well as a project management methodology

Technologies - The 'must have' requirements centre around the base technology platforms that we build all our infrastructure):

• AWS
• Cloud Formation or Terraform
• Nginx
• Linux administration
• Packer
• Collaboration tools (Git, Jira, Confluence, etc)

Skills:

• Experienced leading large-scale IT and Business Transformation Projects (preferably in Public Sector)
• Experience of working with development teams
• Ability to manage senior (technical and programme) stakeholders with strong communication skills
• Working within an agile context with the use of CI
• Articulate a logical design, and understand how this translates to physical infrastructure
• Experience with defining and working with the constraint of NFRs such as cost, scalability, availability
