Job summary

The National Lottery Community Fund is seeking a Policy Engagement Manager to strengthen engagement with government, voluntary and community sector organisations, and funding partners in Scotland. You will translate policy developments into practical insight to inform medium- and long-term funding priorities with an equity focus.

You will work closely with the Head of Policy Engagement in Scotland, travel regularly around Scotland, and occasionally to other UK regions.

Qualifications

• Experience engaging with government, public sector, VCSE or funding stakeholders.
• Strong grasp of policy environment and themes relevant to Missions in Scotland.
• Experience analysing and interpreting policy and political developments.
• Demonstrable strategic influencing skills.
• Strong written communication and facilitation skills with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build influential relationships with government, voluntary and community sector organisations, and funding partners.
• Provide strategic policy insight and translate policy developments into practical insight.
• Help shape funding priorities by ensuring community experiences inform policy and funding.
• Convene grantholders and stakeholders to explore challenges and opportunities.
