Job summary

Sunderland AFC Academy is seeking an Academy Scout – Scotland to support talent identification across Scotland. This casual, zero-hour role requires observing and reporting on prospective players, attending fixtures, and building relationships with clubs and contacts while safeguarding and representing the Club.

Ideal candidates hold FA Level 2 Talent ID or equivalent, with proven scouting or player assessment experience and strong knowledge of Scottish football.

Qualifications

• FA Level 2 Talent ID or equivalent with scouting experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Scotland football landscape and regional contacts.
• Ability to build trusted relationships and submit reports through club systems.

Responsibilities

• Observe, assess and report on prospective players against academy profiles.
• Maintain an intelligence-led coverage plan across Scotland football.
• Attend fixtures, festivals, tournaments and events as directed.
• Travel across Scotland and occasionally to Sunderland.
