We are working alongside a leading Pre-Clinical CRO specialising in Neuroscience to a hire a Scientist for their site in Sandwich, Kent.

The Client

We are in collaboration with a global pre clinical CRO specialising in Neuroscience research.

The role is based in Sandwich, Kent. Reporting to the Site Director, as part of their expansion they are searching for a scientist for their Pain research teams.

This lab-based role (on-site) will be to develop and execute relevant disease in vivo models to generate robust pharmacological and disease-relevant biological data for preclinical research studies for biotech or pharma companies.

Working hours

7am – 3pm, 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm (dependent on candidate’s & lab work needs).

Requirements
  • Graudate level science or veterinary Degree with significant relevant lab-based experience, preferably in Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, Veterinary Sciences, Biology, Neuroscience or a related discipline.
  • A higher degree of PhD or Masters is considered advantageous but not essential to the role.
  • Preclinical expertise in rodent disease models is essential
  • HO Licence 1-4, including rodent dosing, behavioural testing, surgical techniques, tissue dissections
  • 2-3 years’ experience managing projects, research activities, and collaborative initiatives in a science delivery environment.
  • Expertise in the design, development and validation of preclinical studies for compound efficacy profiling and screening; including analysing data and report writing
