Job summary

Avalere Health is seeking a Scientific Director to lead scientific development for client projects and to act as a medical writer for complex assignments. You will build strong client relationships and contribute scientific and strategic input to pitches and new business activities.

You will mentor junior team members and collaborate with medical writers, account teams, and project management to deliver high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years in a medical communications agency is preferred.
• Experience in oncology is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in life sciences; advanced degrees are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead scientific development of projects and materials.
• Act as medical writer for complex projects when needed.
• Build client relationships and provide scientific/strategic input for pitches.
