Details:
Salary: up to £30,000 DOE
Location: London (hybrid working possible)
Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays + 1 extra floating day

The Company:
Our client is a leading publisher in the biomedical sciences field and part of a renowned global publications group founded 25 years ago. They produce twelve high-quality journals and are an industry leader in disseminating international scientific communication. With offices in Europe and London, they publish research from global authors and organise topical conferences in many medical fields.
Responsibilities:
·Overseeing initial rounds of editing and copy-editing for scientific manuscripts
·Proofreading and fact-checking content, ensuring well-written, consistent, and factually correct articles
·Interfacing with authors and editors to achieve highest possible accuracy and quality of content
·Performing second-round edits and providing feedback to Scientific Editors
·Supporting the training of new team members
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal English skills and the ability to carry out both language and scientific editing tasks, coupled with strong organisational abilities to manage high-quality work while meeting deadlines.
Motivated, resourceful, and collaborative, you they will take pride in a job well done and enjoy working within and across teams.
This role will be responsible for overseeing the first rounds of editing and copy-editing of scientific manuscripts, which will include proofreading, fact-checking as well as interfacing with authors and editors. Candidates will need to be familiar with scientific terminology, therefore an academic background in life sciences is a must. You will ideally have some proofreading or copy-editing experience already, though training on this and on editorial and production processes will be provided.
