Marchant Recruitment is recruiting a Science Technician for a large secondary school in Cheshire. The role focuses on hands-on practical support, preparing equipment, chemicals, and materials to enable engaging experiments and safe, well-organised laboratories for pupils.

You will assist teachers with demonstrations and investigations, maintain and store equipment, manage stock, and follow safety procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Getting laboratories lesson-ready by preparing equipment, chemicals, and materials for practical experiments.
• Supporting science teachers with demonstrations, investigations, and hands-on classroom activities.
• Keeping laboratory equipment organised, maintained, and safely stored.
• Helping ensure laboratories meet health and safety standards and remain safe learning environments.
• Keeping track of supplies, checking stock, and ordering materials when needed.
• Carrying out routine checks and reporting equipment that needs repairing or replacing.
• Handling and disposing of chemicals and hazardous materials in line with appropriate safety procedures.
• Helping the science department run smoothly so teachers and pupils can get the most out of every lesson.
