Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as a Science Technician or in a lab environment preferred.

  • Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.

The Role

As a Science Technician, you ll play a vital role in supporting the Science Department to deliver engaging and safe practical lessons. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, setting up, and clearing away equipment and materials for practical science lessons
  • Ensuring all experiments and activities are conducted safely and efficiently
  • Maintaining and organising laboratory equipment and stock
  • Supporting teachers and students during practical sessions
  • Upholding health and safety standards at all times
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a Science Technician (preferred) or within a lab environment
  • Strong understanding of laboratory health and safety procedures
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
