Do you have a passion for science and a talent for organisation? We are looking for a dedicated Science Technician to join a busy and dynamic science team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to support practical science. From preparing experiments and maintaining equipment to ensuring health and safety standards are met, you will play a vital role in helping staff deliver engaging and inspiring lessons or practical sessions.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Preparing and setting up materials and equipment for science lessons, workshops, or practical sessions
  • Maintaining laboratories, apparatus, and resources to a high standard
  • Ensuring all activities comply with health and safety requirements
  • Supporting staff and students during practical work where appropriate
  • Organising and managing stock, and ordering supplies when required
  • Keeping up-to-date with new equipment and scientific techniques
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has a strong interest in Science (a background in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics is an advantage)
  • Is well‑organised, proactive and able to work independently
  • Has excellent attention to detail and a practical, hands‑on approach
  • Can communicate effectively with staff, students, or colleagues alike
  • Is flexible, reliable, and eager to learn
