About the Role

Are you a Science Technician looking for your next opportunity in a vibrant secondary school environment? We're working with a fantastic secondary school that's seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Technician to support their busy Science Department.

In this role, you'll be helping to prepare and maintain equipment for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons, ensuring experiments run smoothly and safely. You'll work closely with teachers and students, making a real difference to the quality of science education in the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing, setting up, and maintaining science apparatus and equipment for lessons.
  • Supporting teachers and students during practical science lessons.
  • Maintaining stock levels and ordering materials when required.
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of laboratories and prep rooms.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a Science Technician (ideally in a school setting).
  • Strong knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics equipment and procedures.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in a lab environment.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
