Job description

Working 37 hours per week, term time (Term time only includes working 2 out of 5 INSET days each academic year as directed by the school, with availability to work any or all of the remaining 3 INSET days at short notice should the need arise, and for which additional payment will be made)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Science Technician whose main role will be to provide an efficient and effective technical service to our large Science Faculty. The successful candidate will need to be well organised, self‑motivated and capable of meeting strict deadlines. You will need the interpersonal skills to build up relationships with both teaching and non‑teaching staff across the academy. The successful candidates will:

• Be able to work independently and as part of a team with initiative
• Have good communication skills
• Be energetic, well‑motivated and flexible
• Have a professional manner and plenty of common sense
• Be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
• Have experience of similar position within a biology/chemistry preparation area.
