Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in a school, laboratory, or education setting.
  • Knowledge of basic science laboratory procedures and health & safety practices.
  • Enhanced DBS (Child or Child & Adult Workforce), or willingness to apply.

Job Title: Science Technician

Location: Teesside

Daily Pay: £100 - £120

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm | Monday to Friday

Do you have a passion for science and enjoy helping students explore the world around them?

Are you looking for a role where you can support learning, manage practical experiments, and contribute to a dynamic science department?

What You'll Be Doing
  • Preparing and maintaining materials, equipment, and resources for science lessons and practical experiments
  • Assisting teachers in the delivery of science lessons where required
  • Ensuring all laboratories and equipment comply with health and safety standards
  • Supporting students with practical work, experiments, and demonstrations
  • Maintaining accurate records of stock, equipment, and chemicals
  • Helping create a safe, organised, and stimulating learning environment
Who We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in a school, laboratory, or education setting - UK experience essential
  • Knowledge of basic science laboratory procedures and health & safety practices
  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with students and teaching staff
  • A professional, reliable, and adaptable approach
  • Enhanced DBS (Child or Child & Adult Workforce), or willingness to apply
  • A genuine interest in supporting science education and student development
