Science Technician

  • Salary: £14 - £16 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated Science Technician to join our team at a well‑respected college in Sidcup. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in health and safety, particularly within a scientific or educational setting.

Day‑to‑day of the role:
  • Prepare materials and equipment for science experiments and demonstrations.
  • Ensure all laboratory activities comply with health and safety regulations, including COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
  • Assist in the maintenance and organisation of science laboratories.
  • Support teaching staff and students during laboratory sessions.
  • Manage the stock and storage of laboratory supplies and chemicals.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain safety equipment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Science Technician or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a laboratory environment, including COSHH.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in science or a related field are preferred.
