The Role
  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons that inspire students and promote academic progress across all key stages.
  • Play a key role in the development of the Science curriculum and contribute to departmental improvement strategies.
  • Use effective assessment and feedback methods to track pupil progress and raise attainment.
  • Maintain excellent classroom behaviour through positive management and high expectations.
  • Contribute to a supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity, experimentation, and scientific discovery.
  • Engage in whole-school initiatives and take part in ongoing professional development.
The Successful Candidate Will
  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
  • Hold a degree or equivalent in a Science-related subject.
  • Demonstrate outstanding teaching practice and a passion for inspiring young people.
  • Have experience of delivering Science at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
  • Have excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
  • Show evidence of raising pupil achievement and improving outcomes.
  • Be committed to ongoing professional learning and contributing to school-wide success.
