Overview

Job title: Science Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Science Teacher in Driffield, starting January 5th 2026 and lasting until 13th February 2026 in the first instance, with the potential to increase in the future. This is a temporary position with a daily rate of pay between 168.80 and 261.77, scaled from the main teaching pay scale (32,916 to 51,047 per year).

This role involves teaching Science to Key Stage 3 and 4 students. Ideally, a Biology specialist is preferred, but applications from other science specialisms will be considered. Planning and marking are expected for this position. The ability to perform practical lessons is advantageous to keep students engaged. There is a strong head of department and an encouraging environment within the school.

Located in Driffield, there is a large onsite car park for drivers, and the school is accessible by public transport. The school is part of a growing local academy trust with strong links to other local schools. Success in this position may lead to future opportunities. There is a strong sense of community and a desire for a candidate who will immerse themselves in school life.
