Looking for a short-term Science role where you’ll feel genuinely supported, not just handed the keys and wished luck?
We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in BS25 that’s looking for a Science Teacher to join them from January through to Easter. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach in a school with a really supportive Science department, strong routines, and a team that works collaboratively and looks after each other.
Whether you’re an ECT wanting to build confidence in a settled setting, or an experienced teacher looking for a focused, well‑run short‑term role, this one’s got all the right ingredients.
You’ll be teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons and becoming part of a department that values teamwork and consistency.
Teaching Science lessons across KS3–KS4
Following shared schemes of work and department plans
Creating a calm, positive learning environment
Managing behaviour with clear, established systems
Supporting pupils’ understanding across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
Working closely with a friendly, experienced Science team
This is a great chance to focus on teaching, without unnecessary pressure or chaos.
A qualified Science Teacher (ECTs very welcome)
Confident teaching KS3 and KS4 Science
A calm, professional approach to behaviour management

Availability from January until Easter

Paid to scale for the duration of the role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
