Job description

Wayman Group is currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Science Teacher to join a brilliant school in Brent starting in April. As a Science Teacher, you will have the exciting opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, where innovative teaching methods and a passion for education are fostered. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective science lessons to inspire and educate students in the field of science. By utilizing your subject knowledge and excellent communication skills, you will help students develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts and foster a love for learning.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and deliver effective and engaging science lessons to students.
2. Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
3. Prepare and assess students' work, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
4. Plan and execute practical experiments to enhance students' understanding of scientific theories and concepts.
5. Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback and support as necessary.
6. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to develop innovative and effective teaching practices.
7. Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and other school activities as required.

Minimum Requirements

1. A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Science or a related field.
2. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
3. Proven experience within a similar teaching role, preferably in a primary or secondary school setting.
4. Deep subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
6. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
7. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals.
8. A commitment to professional development and a willingness to stay updated with the latest teaching methods and practices.
