Job description

Science Teacher Responsibilities
  • Delivering high-quality science instruction, utilising a range of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Designing and implementing assessments to gauge students' understanding and progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to guide their learning.
  • Identifying and addressing the diverse learning needs of students by providing extra support or enrichment opportunities.
  • Collaborating with other science teachers and faculty members to align teaching strategies, share resources, and develop interdisciplinary projects that integrate science with other subjects.
Science Teacher Requirements
  • PGCE in Secondary Science with QTS or other UK recognised teaching qualification.
  • GCSE, Biology, Physics and Chemistry teaching experience in the last 2 years is preferred.
  • Have the capability to foster curiosity and interest for the subject.
  • Strong command of the curriculum and good behaviour management skills.
  • Be committed to child protection, safeguarding and pupil welfare.
  • Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
