Teacher of Science - PRU Setting

Location: Stockport

Contract: Long-term, with potential temp-to-perm opportunities

Premier Education is working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Stockport who are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Science Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher with a passion for supporting students who may face barriers to learning, working with small groups in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

This long-term role offers consistency and the chance to make a real impact on young people's educational journeys, with potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum (KS3-KS4)
  • Experience of working in alternative provision, PRUs, or SEN settings is desirable
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting students with social, emotional, or behavioural needs
  • Excellent classroom management and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
  • Must hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS certificate and demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)
Pay

£150 - £200 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
