Science Teacher - Northwich - October to December Initially - Fixed-Term Contract

Are you an engaging and passionate Science Teacher ready to spark curiosity and enthusiasm in young students' minds?

Academics are currently supporting a high-achieving secondary school in Northwich area who are looking for a dedicated Science specialist to join their team from October through to December, with the potential for a longer-term role into 2026.

This position is ideal for a teacher who thrives in an environment that values innovation, collaboration, and student engagement. You'll be part of a welcoming Science department that encourages hands-on learning, experimentation, and the development of critical thinking skills across Key Stage 3 and 4.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, well-structured Science lessons that meet curriculum objectives
  • Inspire students through practical experiments and inquiry-based learning
  • Support learners of varying abilities
  • Monitor and provide feedback to students to ensure meaningful progress
  • Work collaboratively within the department
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - or equivalent secondary teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching General Science across KS3 and KS4 (with specialisms in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
  • A genuine enthusiasm for Science and the ability to make complex topics accessible and exciting
  • Strong classroom management and a positive, student-centred approach
