Overview

Science Teacher (Chemistry or Physics Specialism)

A large secondary school based in Slough are looking for a Science teacher. The school are seeking a specialist in Chemistry or Physics to start immediately on a long-term contract through to July 2026. This position is full-time, but part-time applicants may be considered. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm. The school has on-site parking and excellent public transport links.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and practical science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for KS5 depending on experience.
  • Focus on either Chemistry or Physics, supporting students to deepen their subject knowledge and scientific thinking.
  • Foster a love of science through hands-on experiments, inquiry-based learning, and clear real-world links.
  • Build positive relationships with students and support their academic and personal development.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking science department committed to excellence.
