Job Opening: Biology Teacher

Location: St Philip Howard Catholic Voluntary Academy, Glossop

Reference: JOB/25/01397

Salary: MPS/UPS £31,650 - £43,607 / £45,646 - £49,084 per annum

Job Term: Full Time

Appointment Type: Permanent

Hours: 32 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and qualified Biology specialist to join our Science Department from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a thriving department!

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching classes, including planning, assessment, and addressing the social and learning needs of students
  • Upholding the positive Catholic ethos and core values of the school
  • Meeting professional responsibilities as outlined in the Teachers’ Standards
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be capable of teaching Science to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring they reach their potential, meet diverse needs, and foster an interest in Science.
