Science Teacher – Location: Sussex • Pay Rate: £168 - £260+ per day • Job Type: Daily Supply or Long Term Supply

Reed Education are seeking a Science Teacher available to start immediately for both long-term and short-term positions. This role is ideal for someone who is experienced in teaching the Science curriculum in UK schools and is adept at planning and marking.

Day-to-day responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes student well-being and learning.
  • Participate in staff meetings, parent evenings, and school events as required.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the curriculum and learning experience for students.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Hold a valid teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, or QTLS.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level (KS3 & KS4).
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Must hold a current DBS check or be prepared to apply for a new one.
