Science Teacher - SEN/SEMH School (Redbridge, East London)

Location: Redbridge, East London

Pay: £130-£240 per day umbrella (depending on experience and qualifications)

Contract Type: Long-term / Full-time

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:

We are working on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive SEN/SEMH school in the London Borough of Redbridge to recruit an experienced and passionate Science Teacher for a long-term position.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Science specialist who thrives in a supportive environment and enjoys helping young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons (KS3-KS4).
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support students with SEN/SEMH needs and varying abilities.
  • Create a safe, structured and positive classroom environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote emotional well-being and resilience.
Requirements:
  • Experience teaching Science in a school or alternative provision setting (QTS not essential).
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Enthusiastic, patient and adaptable with a genuine interest in supporting students with SEN/SEMH.
  • Available for a long-term role and committed to making a difference.
