Science Teacher Full-Time, Long-Term

Location: Watford Salary: £34,398 £46,839 (based on experience) Start Date: January 2026

The school is seeking a passionate and motivated Science Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. Whether you are an experienced educator or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and bring science to life in the classroom.


Your Role Will Include


  • Delivering engaging and practical Science lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Teaching your specialism Biology, Chemistry, or Physics preferred

  • Creating a classroom culture that sparks curiosity and scientific thinking

  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback

  • Supporting GCSE preparation through targeted teaching and revision

  • Contributing to curriculum planning and resource development

  • Promoting STEM through clubs, fairs, and enrichment activities

  • Participating in wider school life and building strong community links


Who We re Looking For


  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (strong unqualified candidates considered)

  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level

  • Strong subject knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for science education

  • Creative, student-focused teaching style

  • Effective classroom management and high expectations

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
