The Global Technical function is a dynamic part of our operations, focusing on innovation, research & development, quality and compliance, and efficiency across our operations and product lines. The function is responsible for:
Your mission is to innovate and grow while safeguarding our people, brands, and the environment. You\'ll develop tomorrow\'s product pipelines for brands such as Johnnie Walker, Guinness, Captain Morgan, Baileys, and Tanqueray. You will translate insights into actionable ideas that shape the future of our brands.
Working within the Global Technical function provides exposure to industry-leading strategies crucial to Diageo\'s leadership in the spirits industry.

Qualifications: You should have or be expecting an academic degree. For the Technical Graduate Programme, we are particularly interested in graduates with degrees in STEM or related disciplines including Food Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Sustainability, Brewing & Distilling, and Project Management. We expect to graduate in 2026 or have graduated within the last 2 years. Proficiency in English is required, and with opportunities across Europe you must be mobile and prepared to relocate geographically during the programme.

Eligibility: To be eligible for our graduate programmes, all candidates must have the continuous right to work in the UK and Ireland. Any offer of employment is conditional upon this requirement. The Technical Graduate Programme offers a highly competitive salary (location-dependent; for example, year one salary in the UK is around £38,000), an annual bonus opportunity, and an industry-leading benefits package.
We have graduate opportunities across the business, each open for a limited time. Apply early and focus on one programme to maximise your chances. NB: Pymetrics is the first stage of the application process for all of our Early Careers programmes; results are used for all applications that require it within a one-year period. Assessment centres are typically held between November and February. You will hear from us closer to the time if you have progressed.
