Are you a recent Science graduate with a passion for education and a desire to inspire the next generation of scientists?

Are you considering a future career in teaching or science education and looking to gain valuable classroom experience?

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a high‑achieving and supportive secondary school in Barnet that is seeking a dedicated Science Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full‑time, long‑term position (Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm) with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates with a background in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics who want to develop their classroom experience and make a real difference in students' learning.

About the Role

• Support students in Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially A‑Level.
• Work closely with Science teachers to deliver engaging, hands‑on learning experiences.
• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to students who may need help understanding key concepts.
• Help prepare practical resources and materials for experiments and lessons.
• Encourage students' curiosity and confidence in Science.
• Support practical lessons, ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
