Job summary

The International Centre for Life in Newcastle is seeking a Contemporary Science Manager to create and deliver an exciting programme of science engagement for adults and young people across the Northeast. You’ll design and deliver events with researchers, industry partners, creatives and communities, managing the full programme and finding fresh ways to engage audiences.

DBS check will be required, and Life offers wellbeing initiatives and extensive employee support benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in a science subject with experience developing or delivering engaging science content.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to non-specialists, verbally and in writing.
• Interest in evaluation and using feedback to improve future activity.

• Design imaginative events around cutting-edge science for diverse audiences.
• Manage the full programme and collaborate with researchers, industry partners, creatives and communities to tell science stories.
